Cleanse.

Five Day Discipline: Week 3

Juice Cleanse.

After almost a month of traveling, eating poorly, and drinking a lot, I thought it would be good to reset my body and get back to my health groove. I chose to do Juiceland’s 3 Day Juice Cleanse and finish the last 2 days carefully.

The 3 days were GREAT! I actually felt good. I didn’t feel too tired. The most hungry I felt was on Tuesday between my lunch and dinner juice. But I found I was drinking constantly about 120 ounces of water per day, and feeling so great. I honestly could have done 2 more days of cleanse if I didn’t have obligations that weekend where I didn’t want my tummy to be fresh off a cleanse.

The hardest juices to manage were the ones with significant amounts of celery in them. Like… UCK. I did find that I really liked a few of the juice blends, which makes me super excited because that is an awesome option for me instead of fast food when I am in a pinch.

I did not do well coming off the cleanse. I will be honest with myself. I had no discipline when it came to choosing foods and soups that would ease my tummy back into the world of solids. So that was dumb of me. I feel like I failed the last two days of my 5, but I really stood my ground while doing the 3 day cleanse, so that is still something to be proud of.

I think I will be doing another juice cleanse before the end of the year is up, and I am actually looking forward to it!
